The updated AirDroid 3 app is available to download from Google Play, while Mac and Windows apps can be downloaded from the company website. The app has been redesigned to suit the new the Android 5.0 Lollipop's Material Design. In addition, Air Droid 3 enables end-to-end encryption for all SMS, app notifications, contact data, account credentials and other sensitive data. It also allows you to view your phone contacts, directly from your desktop too. You could view notifications from any app you like and also, silent a few of them if they tend to disturb you. You could also transfer files, copy/paste links from web browsers as well. With the new update, you can not only answer calls but you could mute or dismiss them as u like. As many users around the globe constantly use instant messaging services, this feature turns out to be convenient as notifications are directly pushed to the desktop in real time.Īir Droid 3 adds in more than notifications for calls and messages. Initially, you could only receive alerts for incoming calls and messages, but not respond to them directly via your desktop. This makes it easier for users as they can interact with their apps, simply with a mouse and keyboard. One of the new features added to AirDroid is Air Mirror. This feature allows you to mirror your smartphone on your desktop. Earlier, you would have to log into the AirDroid server through a web browser. a file to an Android user but failed due to the limitations imposed by the company. The app has made it's entry to Google Play and has added new applications for Mac OS and Windows. AirDroid basically allows you to transfer files wirelessly between.
The updated version comes in with many useful features. Well, AirDroid 3 makes things a lot easier for you now.ĪirDroid is an application via which you can manage your android device directly on a web browser, without a cable. Avoid the app and don't give the company your money.Working on tedious tasks on your phone can be quite irritating at times.
That I would consider fair if it wasn't for the fact that the software is constantly buggy and the huge security flaws that have been discovered that the company attempts to cover up. I was told by their "support" that they couldn't do that and kept just asking me to try various things to make it work, send them log files etc. I paid for a premium subscription and as I have over 200 days left on it, I asked for a refund, even just the outstanding amount. Repeated force-closing and attempting to uninstall with multiple reboots didn't help. After repeatedly getting frustrated with it, I decided to uninstall it at which point I discovered I couldn't. It is not possible to reset where the location is. My most recent experience is that it won't allow me to access the SD card on my phone, despite telling the app the location of the card in the filesystem and it showing my files there, the desktop app refuses to access it telling me I must tell the app where the card is. Choose your iOS device from the Available devices list on the AirDroid Cast desktop by clicking Cable. Also recently, the bugs are becoming ridiculous. Download and install the AirDroid Cast on your Windows/Mac computer. Over time though, it has become apparent it has had massive security flaws and the company has not been honest about them until outed online. This app used to be quite good for transferring files and mirroring notifications, etc. I had to re install and ignore the update. I did and it turned to a shower of mearde. Don't download the update after youv'e installed. Though it did the job the transfer speed allowed you to make a cuppa before the photo arrived on the Mac, so I installed Air Droid on the Mac and phone and Oh hooo! an image jumps straight over to the Mac and you can just drag it onto the desktop, like, in 2 secs! Fantastic. unless you use I phone with the Mac, so I went Bluetooth between the devices. Getting my head round the IMac was hard enough, but after about 6 months, I am liking it a lot BUT the relationship between an android phone and an IMac is strained to say the least. I'm not an Apple lover anyway and much prefer my Android phones, as I have the freedom to mount as another drive. Since the in-app browser is powered by the users browser, Custom Tabs shares storage with the browser, so users dont need to re-login to their favourite. I was amazed to see such poor reviews for this app! I recently went over to an Imac as fed up with MS Windows and updates and WIN7 going obsolete.
